The Kumbha Mela is the largest religious gathering in the world. It occurs every 12 years in India, the land of the Veda. At the last Kumbha Mela in 2001, over 40 million pilgrims convened on just one day to bathe in the Ganges River. The Kumbha Mela time is the most efficacious time to seek purification as well as enlightenment.

The Kumbha Mela is held in 4 different locations depending on the planetary positions of the Sun and Jupiter. The current Kumbha Mela will be in Allahabad beginning on Jan. 27th.

Our yagya will be held in the holy city of Ujjain. Ujjain is one of the other 3 locations of the Kumbha Mela. The holy river of significance in Ujjain is the Kshipra. Our Kumbha Mela Yagya will be performed close to the Kshipra River. The intention of the yagya will be to purify consciousness, remove sins and obstacles and to attain enlightenment. The special Surya Ardya Yagya invokes the light of God to bestow enlightenment.
